Volunteer Opportunities
Are you interested in being a part of a compassionate team that supports moms and babies at The Elizabeth House? We invite you to consider how your passions, time and talents align with what’s happening at The Elizabeth House.
Current Needs
Support Volunteer
Often involves holding a baby! After completion of their training, support volunteers maintain a regular schedule at The Elizabeth House – typically 2-4 daytime or evening hours once a week. Support Volunteers spend time at The Elizabeth House when staff is present, serving while building relationships and trust with residents. Some weeks will involve holding babies, while others may include a cleaning project or combination of the two.
Relief Staff Volunteer
After the completion of their training, Relief Staff volunteers provide weeknight or weekend coverage for The Elizabeth House on an as-needed basis. Weekends tend to be more relaxed for residents – a time of sleep, food and often movies. Some relief volunteers like to cook a big meal for the residents, others share a favorite game or movie. All come flexible, willing to invest in relationship and available for the residents when needed.

Projects for Groups
Projects designed for families or small groups.
Cleaning Crew
Unfortunately, our house is not exempt from getting dirty and we appreciate the help of others to do an in-depth cleaning or sanitizing project. Cleaning supplies are provided.
Care Market Crew
As an incentive of The Elizabeth House program, women earn points to shop in Care Market – a mini-market stocked with clothes, toys, toiletries and more. It quickly becomes messy and disorganized so we often need groups to prepare it for shopping night.
Donation Drive
Organize a baby shower or donation drive in your family or group. See our wish list.
